Interior

Recently extended and refurbished, the centre can accommodate a group of up to 28 which includes a total of 4 dormitories…..  two of which can sleep 3 with ensuite facilities and two larger dorms up to 10 and 12 respectively.

The main entrance leads to a boot room which provides adequate space for outdoor clothing and boots however the added bonus of the drying room next door is extremely beneficial in damp weather after a scout hike in the nearby hills or a caving trip.  

The centre offers two additional wash rooms with showers and individual sinks and lots of hot water. A well-equipped kitchen leads to the ‘Earl of Enniskillen’ lounge with leather sofas and comfortable chairs to enjoy a well earned rest at the end of a busy day. Although full central heating within the building, a multi-fuelled stove is located within the main wall of the common room which highlights an array of engraved bricks, all of which came from a Scout fundraising event. Within this room and mounted to a wall is a 50” smart TV for audio and visual purposes, providing a relaxed evening to the end of an eventful day. The centre is complete with a disabled toilet & shower and outside toilets and wash up area convenient for campers.

 

Cladagh Boot Room – Conveniently located as the first room at the main entrance to property where all outdoor clothing and footwear can be stored safely until needed again.

Drying Room – Our drying room contains a strong hanging rail to allow wetsuits or wet jackets & boots remain overnight for drying.

Skreen Rock Dormitory – Comprising of 5 bunks accommodates up to 10 people.

Lime Kiln Hill Dormitory  – Comprising of 1 single and 1 bunk bed sleeping 3 people and includes a disabled wet room with shower and toilet.

Earl of Enniskillen common room – A large and comfortable room with leather sofas and soft chairs together with 2 extra large beanbags provides adequate seating for end of day relaxation.

Multi-fuelled stove positioned on the main feature wall creates an ambience for the room and a 50” smart TV, with USB, HDMI ports, is wall mounted for audio and visual purposes.

Four large folding dining tables can be used at meal times with easy access to the adjoining kitchen.

Kitchen – Adjacent to main common room, a well equipped kitchen with tall fridge and 6 plate Lincat cooker and double oven is more than adequate for preparing and cooking group meals.

Hanging Rock Dormitory – On exit from common room, a further hallway leads to two further dormitories, the larger with 6 bunks which accommodates up to 12 people.

Leefa Hill Dormitory – Furnished with 1 single and 1 bunk bed, sleeping up to 3 people and includes an en-suite shower room. Also contains a small store room where folding tables and dining chairs can remain when not in use.

 

The Scout property displays a large range of Scouting memorabilia throughout which can be enjoyed by all with some photos of the first renovation in 1995 and some of the original wooden Scout hut from 1965 which was kindly gifted to Fermanagh County Scout Council by The Earl Of Enniskillen.

 

Campsite and campfire

Camp site – A large flat green lawn is ideal for those interested in camping under the stars.

External washing facilities – A large double outdoor sink for washing up after meals.

Outside Picnic area – Located at the front of the centre a large picnic bench and area ideal for outside dining or barbeques.

Outside washrooms and toilets – 2 washrooms and toilet facilities specifically for the use by those camping at the site. This provides the option of using the centre as a camping group and residential group in isolation at the same time. 

Campfire – An open campfire area with adequate seating on large stone boulders, the Cladagh Ring, providing a great outdoor experience at the end of an active day.

Car parking – Secure parking in front of the centre building safely within the scout grounds.
