Cladagh Glen Challenge Award

The purpose of the Cladagh Glen Challenge Award is to challenge all the Scout Sections – visiting Cladagh to participate in activities they may not possibly have carried out previously.

No criteria have been set for each activity to ensure all can achieve the Cladagh Glen Challenge Award.

It is anticipated that

Beavers will participate in up to 5 activities,
Cubs participate in up to 10 activities and
Scouts / Explorers 10-15 activities.

The Award of the Badge is however at the discretion of the Group Leadership Team.

6	KNOTTING	Learn how to tie a minimum of four Knots
7	ORIENTEERING	Participate in an orienteering activity around Cladagh Glen
8	PIONEERING	Participate in a pioneering project on site
9	PITCH A TENT	Pitch or help to pitch a Tent.
10	TARGET SHOOTING	Take part in a Target Shooting competition
11	TREE IDENTIFICATION	Identify 4-5 trees on Cladagh Glen Camp Site or Cladagh Glen
12	SCAVENGER HUNT	Participate in a Scavenger Hunt on site.
13	SCOUTS OWN	Participate in a Scouts Own Service
14	SHELTER BUILDING	Build a Shelter
15	SPIDERS WEB	Participate in a Spiders Web
16	HAMMOCKING	Erect and use a Hammock
17	RIVER GORGE	Take part in a river activity
18	TRACKING SIGNS	Lay – follow a trail using tracking signs
19	CAMP GADGETS	Make a selection of Camp Gadgets
20	COLLAGE	Make a collage with material from on site
